The 23rd anniversary of death of Majeda Begum, wife of the founder editor of the Daily Ittefaq late Tofazzal Hossain Manik Mia, and former chairman of the Ittefaq Group of Publications Ltd., will be observed today (Saturday). In observance of the anniversary of death of Majeda Begum, a daylong programme has been taken up by her family members.

The programmes include holding of Quran Khwani and distribution of 'tabarak’ at the Baridhara residence of her elder son Barrister Mainul Hosein, Dhanmondi residence of younger son Anwar Hossain. Qurankhwani, Milad Mahfil will also be held at the residence of her elder daughter late Akhterunahar Baby after Esha prayer and at the residence of younger daughter Sultana Hossain Rubi after Magreb prayer.

Besides, a Milad Mahfil will also be held at Zenith Packages Ltd founded by late Majeda Begum at Kajlarparh, Demra Road after Johr prayer.

Quaran Khwani will be held at the mazar of Majeda Begum at Azimpur graveyard from 7:00am and Munajat at 10:00am.

Qurankhwani has been arranged on the rooftop of Ittefaq Bhaban from the morning while a Milad Mahfil will be held after Zohr prayer.

All the staff of the Ittefaq Group of Publications Ltd, The New Nation, Weekly Robbar, eBiz, Kriralok and Binodon have been requested to take part in the Milad Mahfil.

A Milad Mahfil and distribution of 'tabarak’ will be held at Bhandaria Majeda Begum Girls College.
