'New generation entrusted with responsibility of fulfilling FFs' dream' BSS, Dhaka Speakers at a discussion here have said the new generations are entrusted with the responsibility of fulfilling the cherished dream of freedom fighters to build a prosperous Bangladesh free from communalism, racism and all sorts of extremism. They were addressing a discussion at BRAC University (BU) organized by the BU Cultural Club on the occasion of the Victory Day on the campus on Tuesday. Prof Golam Samdani Fakir, pro Vice Chancellor of BU, addressed the function as the chief guest while Mofidul Islam, trustee and member secretary of the liberation war museum, addressed as the special guest. Professor Golam Samadani Fakir said the struggle for building a self-independent nation has never been ended till now. The new generations are entrusted with responsibility of materializing the long cherished dream, which every freedom fighter upheld in their hearts for a prosperous country. Mofidul Islam said Father of the National Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had laid a foundation of a secular country and dreamt of a nation free from conflict of cast, creed and religion. The freedom fighters made the supreme sacrifice of their lives for the country with a hope of an independent nation, he said. Ishfaq Elahi Chowdhury, registrar of BU, also spoke on the occasion. A cultural function was also held where the students of BU sang the patriotic songs and songs of independence.
