New body of DCCI takes over charge Business Report Abul Kasem Khan, M. Shahjahan Khan and Md. Sirajuddin Malik have been elected President, Senior Vice President and Vice-President respectively of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) for the year 2010. New Board of Directors took over charge at the 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of DCCI at it's office on Tuesday. Hailing from Chittagong, the newly elected President of DCCI, Abul Kasem Khan obtained Bachelor in Business Administration degree from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Renowned industrialist, Abul Kasem Khan is the Director-Corporate Investment of AK Khan and Co. Ltd. (Telecom Division), Akceycom Ltd., Infocom Ltd. and Member of Dhaka Stock Exchange. M. Shahjahan Khan, the newly elected Senior Vice President of DCCI is the Managing Director of S S Shipping and Trading Ltd and Chairman of SS Builders and Developers Ltd. Besides he is the Director of Basic Dredging Co. Ltd. and Multilink Resources Ltd. Md. Sirajuddin Malik, the re-elected Vice-President of DCCI is the Chairman of the Standing Committee of FBCCI on Trade Body of Old Dhaka City. He was the founder General Secretary, Senior Vice President and President of Bangladesh Shoe Maker's Association. He is also Vice-President of Dhaka Samity, Member and former President of Lions Club, Dhaka. He is the Managing Director of Capital Plastic and Rubber Industries, Capital Chemical Industries, Capital Plastic Garbage Recycling Industry and Capital Trading Company. Six other newly elected Directors for the tenure 2009-2011 are M Bashir Ullah Bhuiyan, TIM Nurul Kabir, Mahabub Anam, Waqar Ahmad Choudhury, Asif Ibrahim and K G Karim.
