Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal S M Ziaur Rahman on Thursday apprised President Zillur Rahman about his recent official visit to China by paying a call on him at Bangabhaban here.

Ziaur Rahman paid a visit to China at the invitation of the Air Chief of China General Xu Qiliang. The Chief of Air Staff returned home on November 15 after attending the 'Peace and Development Forum-09' in China to mark 60th anniversary of Air Force of China.

During the meeting, Ziaur Rahman apprised the President that he presented a paper titled 'In the Cross Road of Transformation Perspective From Bangladesh Air Chief' at the forum. The forum was attended by air chiefs of 34 countries around the globe.

Ziaur Rahman also apprised about his meeting with the Chinese President and Air Chiefs of different countries, including China, during his stay in China.

He informed the President about different ongoing development activities of Bangladesh Air Force.

President Zillur Rahman gave him a patient hearing and hoped that such kind of high-level visit between Bangladesh and China would further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

The President also expressed his satisfaction over the constructive role of Bangladesh Air Force in different nation building activities across the country, especially in relief operations during natural calamities.
