Father of Kazi Zafarullah dead BSS, Dhaka Kazi Mahbub Ullah, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's uncle and father of Awami League presidium member Kazi Zafarullah, died on Thursday in the city. A noted social worker, philanthropist and educationist Mahbub Ullah breathed his last at 12.20 pm at Samarita Hospital at the age of 94. He left behind his wife, three sons and two daughters, many grand children and relatives, in addition to innumerable friends and admirers. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep sorrow at the demise of Kazi Mahbub Ullah and condoled his death. She prayed for peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to members of the bereaved family, friends and relatives. The Prime Minister visited the Dhanmondi residence of Kazi Mahbub Ullah to see for herself the body of the deceased this afternoon and offered fateha. She also consoled Begum Mahbub Ullah and other members of the family and stayed some time with them. First namaz-e-janaza of the deceased was held at his Dhanmondi residence on Thursday after Magreb prayers. His second namaz-e-janaza will be held at Kazi Mahbub Ullah College ground at Bhanga in Faridpur today at 11 am. The final janaza will be held after Juma prayers at the Kazi Waliullah High School ground at Kaulibari. He will be laid to rest later at his family graveyard. As a noted educationist, he built many colleges and schools in his locality, besides many other institutions and helping others. He also set up Begum Jebunnesa-Kazi Mahbub Ullah Welfare Trust, besides 'Bangabandhu Chair' at Dhaka University. He was a syndicate member of Bangladesh Agriculture University and President of Dhaka Lions Central, besides serving the nation in many other capacities. His Qul Khwani will be held on November 8 (Sunday) at House No-403, Road No-27 at Dhanmodi.
