Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader Reza Sikander, who was arrested on Monday night from the Dhaka University campus- was set free yesterday evening.

Police said Reza was arrested from the TSC area of the university at about 10 pm following a case was filed against him on charge of assaulting a senior student of the university on October 28.

Shafiul Islam Kajol, a student of Public Administration Department of Dhaka University and a resident of Sir AF Rahman Hall, was critically injured by Reza and his associates at the hall on October 28.

Later, Kajol filed a case with Shahbag Police Station in this connection.

Reza Sikander is also a resident of Sir AF Rahman Hall.
