A daylong workshop on "Foreign Exchange Module in PIBS" was held at the Pubali Bank Head Office in the city.

Information Technology Division organised the workshop recently. Managing Director of Pubali Bank Helal Ahmed Chowdhury was present as chief guest.

Pubali Bank Ltd, one of the largest commercial banks, conducts its operation with its 371 branches in the country. Of them, 37 branches went on online operation. Gradually all branches will be under online system and already 100 numbers of branches is processing online banking by this year. ATM booth also will be increase gradually this year.

In his speech Helal Ahmed Chowdhury said that Pubali Bank is committed to providing the best and innovative banking services needs of the market in fastest possible time.

He also said, PBL give priority to provide opportunity and advantage to the customers through application of modern technologies.

He quoted that Pubali Bank is a unique bank in our country who make Realtime Centralised Online Banking Software by using its own manpower.

He noted there had no alternative for implementation of online banking for smooth running of banking trend.

He hoped that through Online Banking PBL can provide innovative services through modern technologies across the country and inaugural of the Disaster Recovery (DR) Centre at the Uttara in the capital is its first step as a part for providing modern banking services.

General Manager and Chief Technical Officer of IT Division Mohammad Ali presided over the meeting. Sr. Executives of Pubali Bank also attended the meeting.
