Banglalink along with Katalyst, a project under Ministry of Commerce working for enhancing the competitiveness of small business and farmers, pioneered to launch "babsha jigyasha 7677" (call center based service to access business related information). The launching ceremony took place on Monday at a city hotel. After the success of "krishi jigyasha 7676" (similar service on agriculture related queries), this service was launched to further facilitate the development of SME sector of the country.

Through this service, all existing and potential SMEs, are provided solutions regarding access to finance such as SME business loan, deposits of different banks; and business documentation processes such as trade license, tax documents etc. "babsha jigyasha 7677" is a human agent based call center service which is accessible 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, just by dialing a short code 7677 and thus, very simple to use. Judging by the success of "krishi jigyasha 7676", it is expected that hundreds of thousands of SME and other business owners would be accessing and benefiting from this service. Dr. Atiur Rahman, Governor, Bangladesh Bank was present at the ceremony as the chief guest, while Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, Secretary, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance and Feroz Ahmed, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, as the special guests, Peter Grüschow, President of Swisscontact as the Guest of Honor, Ahmed Abou Doma, CEO, Banglalink, Asher Yaqub Khan, CCO, Banglalink and other high officials of Banglalink as the distinguished guests.

Representatives of SSL and Nirjhor IT, the service partners for "babsha jigyasha" and high officials from Swisscontact and Katalyst, were also present during the event.
