The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs yesterday in a major reshuffle of officials of the judicial service promoted two persons and transferred nine.

Mahmudul Karim, additional chief metropolitan magistrate of Dhaka has been transferred to Jaipurhat as district judge, Md Shahenur, additional judge and deputy director of Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission has been transferred as controller of examinations of Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission, Md Nurul Islam, joint district judge of Gopalganj has been transferred as deputy director to Bangladesh Judicial Commission Secretariat, Md Ehsanul Haque, additional chief metropolitan magistrate of Dhaka has been transferred to Patuakhali as joint district judge, Md Ali Hossain, joint district judge of Chittagong has been transferred as chief metropolitan magistrate of Dhaka, Zia Uddin Mahmud, senior assistant secretary and joint district judge has been transferred as district judge of Bogra, Md Mizanur Rahman, additional judicial magistrate of Panchagarh has been transferred to Shariatpur as joint district judge, Chad Md Abdul Alim Al Raji joint district judge of Chuadanga has been transferred as joint district judge of Gaibandha, Mohsinul Haque, joint district judge of Kurigram has been transferred to Chuadanga as joint district judge.

Abu Jafar Md Kamruzzaman, senior assistant judge of Kushtia has been transferred on promotion as additional chief metropolitan magistrate of Dhaka, ABM Sajedur Rahman, additional judge of Patuakhali has been transferred to Khulna as a member of Administrative Tribunal of Khulna.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of the Establishment yesterday transferred high officials to different ministries and divisions.

A total of government officials have been transferred to diffeent ministries while one deputy secretary of the Ministry of Establishment has been made officer on special duty (OSD).

Md Jahangir Kabir has transferred as deputy secretary to the Ministry of Education, Kalilur Rahman Kaguji, Md Abu Bakkar Siddiqui, Abdul Karim and Begum Mina Parvin as deputy secretaries to the Ministry of Defence, Md Abdru Rouf, deputy secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture, Asish Kumar Saha as deputy secretary to Economic Relations Division, Md Rashidul Hasan, deputy secretary to the Ministry of Establishment, Md Shahajahan Miah, deputy secretary, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Md Shafiqur Rahman, deputy secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Md Nazrul Islam Khan, deputy secretary, Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technology, Md Qazi Nasir Hossain, deputy secretary, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources division, Md Belayet Hossain Talukder, deputy secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Md Rafiqul Islam, deputy secretary, Ministry of Defence, Md Ruhul Amin, deputy secretary of Power Division, Joyti Lal Kuri, deputy secretary to the Ministry of Establishment, Md Abu Taher, Ratan Chandra Pandit and Jebunessa Karim as deputy secretaries to the Ministry of Education, Begum Sabina Yasmin transferred as deputy secretary to the Finance Division and Rafiqul Islam Akand, deputy secretary to the Ministry of Establishment has been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
