Miscreants attacked and injured a teacher of Comilla Victoria College because he protested the teasing of college girls on the campus on Tuesday. The victim was identified as AKM Shahab Uddin, lecturer of Accounting Department. Sources said that members of local Setu Bahini attacked the teacher near the cycle stand of higher secondary section of the college, leaving him seriously injured at about 1pm. He was rushed to the Comilla General Hospital. A case was filed with Kotwali thana.

Different student organizations of the college unit later brought out separate processions in the town demanding arrest and punishment of the culprits.
