2 electrocuted in Bagerhat

Two people, including a child, were electrocuted in separate incidents in Fakirhat and Sadar upazilas on Wednesday and Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Yasin, 4, son of Bedar Sheikh in Fakirhat upazila and Tutul alias Khokan, 38, a welding labourer hailed from Bhaga village in Rampal upazila.

Police said Yasin got electric shock and died instantly when he touched the switch board at his house on Thursday afternoon.

In another incident, Tutul died on the spot as he came in contact with a live electric wire while he was repairing a three-wheeler tempo at Chulkati bazaar in Sadar upazila on Wednesday night.

On information, police recovered the body of Tutul and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
