England U-19 team 502/10 on day 2

Riding on opener JJ Cobb's magnificent double century, England Under-19 team took command over Bangladesh under-19 team on the second day of the first four-day test at the North Marine Road ground in Scarborough on Tuesday.

Resuming the second day (Tuesday) with overnight 422 for 8, the hosts posted huge 502 runs for all in 121.4 overs against visiting Bangladesh U-19 team.

Night watch batsman N Riazuddin (95), who was out just five runs short of a hundred, faced 168 balls with 13 fours and three sixes, while another night watch batsman CP Wood made 14 off 22 balls with a four and a six.

Alauddin Babu claimed four wickets for 73 runs, Shabbir Rahman grabbed three wickets for 76 and Mominul Haque took two wickets for 65 runs.

In reply, Bangladesh U-19 team, after losing the early wicket of opener Amit Majumder (2), scored 11 runs for one wicket in four overs till the last report came in. CP Wood took one wicket for six runs.
