Motto of IBBL's banking is welfare of humanity

Prof. Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher, Chairman, Board of Directors of the Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. (IBBL) while addressing the performance review meeting of the bank said that, "the motto of our banking is ensuring the welfare of the humanity as a whole. So, we have to keep ourselves advance in every step".

He called upon all to inform the investment clients about Islamic Banking and the beauty of Islamic Economics.

The review meeting was held on Saturday at the Mohammad Younus Auditorium of Islami Bank Tower with the Managers of important Branches of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited.

Prof. Abduz Zaher, was present in the meeting as the Chief Guest. Presided over by M. Fariduddin Ahmad, Managing Director of the Bank, Engr. Md. Eskander Ali Khan, Chairman, Executive Committee also addressed on the occasion as special guests.

The meeting was also addressed among others by Mohd. Shamsul Haque, Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Md. Habibur Rahman and Md. Setaur Rahman, Deputy Managing Directors and top Executives of different Wings, Divisions and Department ofthe Bank. Managers of selected branches also gave important opinion.

Speakers said that, " we have to eliminate the misconcepts about Islamic Banking from the mind of the mass people, Islami Bank is not for any particular community or race.

Executive Committee Chairman Engr. Eskander Ali Khan said, we have to enhance investment in the next six months by pointing investment fields. Reminding about the attack of the global recession, he called upon all to be vigilant.

M. Fariduddin Ahmad, Managing Director of the Bank in his speech urged the Managers to make the manpower more skilled and sincere and told that "we have to be more aware in operating Banking activities. Reminding about banking rules, rules should not be violated in Import-Export and investment in any situation. He expressed satisfaction in the performance of the Bank in the first half of the year and called upon all to be more alert to achieve the goal.
