To welcome the monsoon, cultural organisation Talim organised a presentation of Nazrul songs at the Music and Dance Centre Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the city recently.

Director General of BSA Kamal Lohani was present as chief guest at the function, while Nazrul researcher Dr Razib Humaun was present as special guest on the occasion. Director of Talim and noted Nazrul singer Salahuddin Ahmed gave the welcome speech in the programme. The programme began with the song of Nazrul based on Raga 'megh.' Then the members of the organisation presented about 30 songs one after another. Singers Debjani Roy, Parveen Akter, Nishat Ahmed, Nasreen Mir, Salahuddin Ahmed, Bari Dawon, Sharmin Alam, Anima Mridha, among others, rendered songs in the programme.
