GP signed online bill collection agreement with Prime Bank Business Report Grameenphone Ltd has taken another step forward in real-time banking solutions for its postpaid customers with the signing an agreement with Prime Bank Ltd (PBL). From now on, all enlisted branches of PBL will be providing real time bill collection information to GP. This real time arrangement will provide billing information updates to GP every five minutes, thus ensuring GP subscribers uninterrupted service. The accord also encompasses auto debit facilities (for both IR & Local bills) for GP postpaid users. Md. Saiful Islam, AGM, Finance Division and Rony Riad Rashid, Head of Fund Management and Collections, of Grameenphone Ltd., and Ahmed Kamal Khan Chowdhury, DMD, of PBL, exchanged the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. Nasim Imran Ahmed, Head of Credit Collection & M-Commerce, Najmul Ahasan Prince, Head of Banking, of Grameenphone were present on the occasion. Md. Iqbal Hossain, Head of IT, Quazi A.S.M Anisul Kabir, Head of Banani Branch, of PBL, and other officials also attended the signing. Presently GP's post-paid subscribers can use 23 Banks (570 branches across the country) and financial institutions for settlement of their relevant charges. Other than PBL, there are 12 other banks, namely, Bank Asia Ltd., BRAC Bank Ltd., Dhaka Bank Ltd., Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd., Eastern Bank Ltd., EXIM Bank Ltd., Jamuna Bank Ltd., One Bank Ltd., Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd., Southeast Bank Ltd., The City Bank Ltd., and UCBL which can facilitate real time bill collection.
