More donations to PM's Relief Fund BSS, Dhaka More organizations on Thursday donated Taka 47.11 lakh to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund in aid of cyclone Aila affected people. Among the organizations, BUET Teachers Association donated one day salary of the teachers amounting to Taka 2.11 lakh. President of the association Prof. M Habibur Rahman handed over a cheque for the amount to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office. Besides, Bangladesh Recondition Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (BARVIDA) donated Taka 30 lakh to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund. BARVIDA President Md. Habibullah Don and Secretary General Mahbubul Haque Chowdhury handed over a cheque for money to the Prime Minister. Destiny Group also donated Taka 15 lakh to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to help the cyclone Aila affected people. Receiving the cheques, the Prime Minister thanked the donors for standing beside the affected people during natural calamities. She said standing by the side of the distressed humanity is a great responsibility of all. The Prime Minister put emphasis on aforestation across the country to face the challenges of natural calamities. State Minister for Science and Information and Communications Technology Architect Yafez Osman, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Abul Kalam Azad and former Ambassador M Ziauddin were present on the occasion.
