The 8th Grameenphone President Cup Pro-Am Golf Tournament was successfully concluded on last Sunday at the Kurmitola Golf Club.

A total of 532 local and international golfers took part in the golf competition and prizes were distributed in 23 different categories.

The winners in most significant categories are : Winner of the Tournament- Colonel Mashud Razzak, Senior Winner- Brigadier General (Retd) Ali Hasan, Super Senior Winner- Dr Sadequl Islam Bhuiyan, Ladies Winner- MH Youn and Junior Winner- Araf Bin Sharfuddin.

Lieutenant General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, ndc, psc, Quarter Master General, Bangladesh Army was present as the chief guest in the prize giving ceremony at the Radisson Water Garden Hotel. Major General Mohammad Mahboob Haider Khan, ndc, psc, Senior Vice-President, Kurmitola Golf Club, Oddvar Hesjedel, Chief Executive Officer, Grameenphone Limited and the other officials of the Grameenphone Limited and a large number of participants including high civil and military officials with their spouses attended the function.

Grameenphone Limited has been sponsoring the President Cup Golf Tournament for the last seven years. Apart from the President Cup Golf Tournament, Grameenphone also sponsored golf tournaments in Savar Golf Club and Bhatiary Golf Club of Chittagong.
