Durgapur upazila police recovered a decomposed body of young boy from shoal immerged on the river Sumeswari at Deppur area under Durgapur upazila of the district on June 11.

Police and witnesses said the dead boy was identified as Aslam Mia, 13, son of abdul Hannan of village Chalklengura under Durgapur upazila. The victom Alam remained missing since last Sunday evening while he went to the river Sumeswari for fishing.

Acting on a secret information, a police team from Durgapur upazila rushed to the scene and found the mutilated body.

Police sent the body to Netrakona hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, a muder case was with Durgapur police by the victim's father Abdul Hannan. Police started investigation into the murder case.
