HIV/AIDS case management training held at Phulpur of Mymensingh

A training course on HIV/AIDS and STD cases management training was held at Phulpur on May 17.

Mymensingh HIV/AIDS Prevention Project World Vision, Bangladesh organised the training programme. Village doctors and Pharmacists participated in the training programme. Dr. Jainta Kumar Nath presided over the training course.

Speaking on the occasion he said AIDS is not a deadly diseases now. He said if people avoid drug addiction and use of condom, the disease could be prevented. A total of 30 village doctors took part in the training programme.

A similar training programme on HIV/ AIDS/ STD was held in Mymensingh town on may 24. The welcome address was given by Khondaker Faru-que Ahmed, executive director of Trinamul Unnayan Sangstha, an NGO.

The training programme was addressed by Jainta Kumar Nath, project manager, Mymensingh unit of the HIV/AIDS project delivered the keynote speech. He stressed for stopping drug addiction, smoking and for safe sex to avert the disease. A total of CBO member took part in the training programme.
