On 3rd June 2001, Sunday all the Catholics of Baniarchar Church attended the Mass. It is in Gopalgonj District. Masudpur Village, Post office - Jalirpar, Gopalgonj - 8100. Italian Father Mimmo Pietanzo giving service to the Church as Parish Priest for many years. There are 3,000 Catholics in Baniarchar Church. The Church is under Khulna Diocese.

Parishioners pray to God with adoration. Every Sunday devotees go to Church to attend mass. Prayer service is called Mass in Catholic Church. Sunday is the day of God, to adore him, to pray him (To almighty). Christians (Catholics) participated (attend) in Mass on Sunday to renew themselves with spirituality. Main Profession of Parishioners of Banierchar Church is farming, fishing, Handicrafts; small scale of business, member's related with service in Dhaka & other places, districts, they come to homeland once/twice in a month to take care to their family. Name of the Baniarchar Church is Most Holy Redeemer Church, Easted in 1938. The Church is 71 years old only.

As per religious order lay people or Parishioners goes to Church to attend mass every Sunday to thanks to God. On that day everyone went to attend morning mass. After 1st reading of Holy Bible when the 2nd reading will begain at that time the Bomb Blast inside the Church It was 7:30 A.M. On the spot 10 Catholic died they are 1 Michael Mallik (25), 2. Monmoth Sikder (22), 3. Peter Shaha (30), 4. Amar Biswas (25), 5. Binod Das (32), 6. Jalish Biswas (30), 7. Suman Halder (27), 8. Zintu Mondol (21), 9. Rodrickes Zetra (27) & 10. Sonziban Baroi (28).

They were buried near the grave which us Behind of the Church.

After that Judicial Judgment there was condolence Meeting, Protest Meeting, Human Chain from Christian Society & Civil Society. Government declared investigation Team and they started their work. On 18/2/2002 Justice Bari Investigation Commission team leader went to Baniarchar to investigate, it was reported that by the team that as revenge between two groups the Bomb was Blast. If sincere and actual investigation is done, then the fact of the bomb blast will come out to the general people of the Country. Actual Justice is in Fade.

In Jessore Bomb Blast at Udichi Program, In Paltan Bomb Blast, Communist Party Meeting, Bangla Nabo Barsa Bomb Blast, in Ramna Batomul Bomb Blast, In Shylet Hazrat Shahjalal's Mazar Bomb Blast, Awami Leadge Meeting in Banghobandu Avenue Shaikh Hasina's Meeting Bomb Blast, then at Ex-Finance minister and Economist Shah S. M. Kabira's Meeting Bomb as takes our only life.

We wish with hope all the facts will come out through investigation & justice will be done & those who are guilty will be punished. Present Government will reinvestigate the matter for Transparency. May God give eternal peace to them those who died in Bomb Blast not only at Baniarchar Church but also in all the Bomb Blast in Bangladesh.
