Anti-crime elite force Rapid Action Battalion(RAB), police and forces in Narcotics Department in separate drives recovered 2,370 bottles of contrband phensidyl and 11 peddlers on May 9.

The RAB-6 sources said acting on prior information, the members of the RAB ambushed Gulf filing station on Jessore-Benapole Highway at about 8-30 am on the day and they searched a Dhaka-bound passenger busASP Faisal Ahmed and DAD Afzal Hossain and recovered 2,246 bottles of phensidyl and arrested three persons for their involvement in peddling of the drugs.

Benapole police in a separate drive recovered 30 bottles of phensidyl and arrested two peddlers. The forces of Narcotics Control Department recovered 34 bottles of the contraband item and arrested three persons in this connection Avoynagar thana police in a drive recovered 1.50 grams of Ganja and 41 bottles of the phensidyl syrup and arrested three persons.

Members of the BDR under Chowgacha recovered 41 bottles of the syrupt and arrested three persons in this connection.
