Two activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) were injured on the Islamic University (IU) campus by a group of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists.

Eyewitnesses said some BCL activists led by Lalin and Japan attacked Omar Faruk and Shuhag, two JCD activists, who were going to attend a rally against the government's decision of cancelling lease of Begum Zia's cantonment residence, which was called by pro-BNP teachers of IU.

Later, the University authorities brought the situation under control.
