Eleven-member Barisal district convening committee of Bangladesh Chhatra Moitri, has been formed in Barisal on Friday.

The meeting for convening committee was held at the party office presided over by Abul Kalam Azad and attended by Rafikul Islam Sujon, central president of the organization as chief guest. The meeting was addressed by central and local leaders of the organization, calling for terrorism free educational environment on the campus.

They also called to unite the progressive and democratic forces to introduce pro-people, unitary educational system in the country.

The meeting also decided to postpone the council of Barisal district branch BCM scheduled to be held on next March 20.
