Mahbubey Alam may be made AG

Senior Advocate Mahbubey Alam may be appointed Attorney General as a new government is now in office, a competent source told UNB on Sunday night.

If appointed, Alam, former president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, will replace incumbent Attorney-General Salahuddin Ahmed.

He was Additional Attorney General during the previous Awami League rule (1996-2001).
