A group of muggers shot and wounded two persons including a Grameenphone sales representative and snatched Tk 1 lakh from him in the capitals Badda area yesterday.

Local people said, a group of three muggers intercepted Golam Mostafa, 30, and opened shot at him when he was collecting money from the Grameenphone booths in Hossain Market of the area and snatched about Tk one lakh from him at about 11:30am, leaving him critically injured.

Shamim, a restaurant worker also sustained bullet injuries when the miscreants opening fire while local people chased them.

Both the victims were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where condition of Mostafa was stated to be critical.

A case was filed with the Badda police station in this connection.
