Fresh probe body on death of Nurul Islam demanded Staff Reporter Ganotantri Party has demanded the government to reorganise the inquiry committee that was formed to unearth the mystery behind the fire, which killed its president Mohammad Nurul Islam along with his son Islam Tamohar. The party believes that the committee was not serious in its job and has prepared a report casually that is reportedly to be published today. Ganotantri Party will organise a human-chain at Muktangan in the city at 4 pm today demanding proper inquiry into the deadly fire-incident and has urged people from the all spheres of life to join it. Acting President of the party Mohammad Afzal and General Secretary Gias Uddin Haider in a press statement also urged intervention of the Prime Minister to this effect. They demanded to include experts on explosion and fire-accidents from home and abroad in the probe committee to bring the real story behind the incident to light. The party proposed to include Group Capt. (retd) Mohammad Alfaz, eminent specialist on fire-accident, in the committee. Quoting a report published in the Daily Ittefaq yesterday, they said the existing committee might release a probe report hurriedly today saying the deaths of Nurul Islam and Islam Tamohar were simply caused by fire originated from electric short circuit. The party demanded that the government should continue a thorough enquiry into the incident without publishing a casually made report in a hurry. The leaders of the party urged Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina to interfere into the case immediately and deliver proper directions.
