Sushmita Sen has lost the court battle she fought against Abu Malik over the payments for the Heat stage shows she pa-rticipated in, in 2006.

Sushmita had filed a case against music director Anu Malik's brother Abu in the Mumbai High Court. The reason she had cited was non-payment of dues amounting to a hefty Rs.50 lakh. Sen claimed the amount was outstanding as fees for her performances at the Heat shows in the US, UK and Dubai in May 2006. The shows had been organised by Safdar Hussain and coordinated by Abu Malik.

Almost 20 hearings took place for this case and finally Abu Malik won it. Sush now has to pay almost Rs.50,000 as cost of litigation. - Agency
