Event: Juneer Kibria’s solo show begins today Staff Reporter A 10-day long solo art exhibition of promising expatriate artist Juneer Kibria will start at the Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts at Dhanmondi in the city today. Eminent artist Qayyum Chowdhury will inaugurate the show as chief guest at 5:30pm at the Bengal Gallery. Artists Rafiqun Nabi and Monirul Islam will be also present as special guests on the occasion. Juneer is son of the country's one of the prominent artist Mohammad Kibria. This was disclosed at a press conference at the Bengal Café in the city yesterday. Expatriate artist Monirul Islam, Director of the Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts Subir Chowdhury, artist Juneer Kibria, among others, were present at the conference. A total of 98 experimental artworks of Juneer will be on displayed at the show. The show will end on January 14. The gallery will be opened from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm everyday. Juneer was born in Dhaka in 1980. He completed his graduation in Printmaking in Wittenberg University in the USA. He earlier took part in a solo show and many group exhibitions. At present he is living in the USA as freelance artist.
