A RAB member was robed of his salary and valuables by armed muggers at Bhatpara here early yesterday.

Police said the muggers intercepted Wahedul Islam, a RAB member posted in Rangpur, at Bhatpara when he along with his brother Kamrul Islam was returning home in a rickshaw after they came from Rangpur in a night coach.

The muggers stabbed Wahedul indiscriminately and took away his salary and other valuables.

Meanwhile, police arrested three people-Sharif Ahmed, 20, son of Akkas Ali, Babul, 37, son of Samad and Habibur Rahman, 35, son of Judge Ali-in connection with the mugging.
