Cooking related regular show 'Siddika Kabir's Recipe' to be aired on Ntv at 8:15pm today. Sara Zaker and Abdullah Rana have jointly directed this popular TV show.

Sharmin Lucky and Prof Siddika Kabir have jointly moderated the show. In each episode an invited guest attends the programme and makes a cooking item for the viewers. Then Prof Siddika Kabir presents her recipe.

Documentary: Muktijuddher Itihash launches

CD and DVD of a documentary featuring history of the Liberation War titled 'Muktijuddher Itihash' has been launched at a function at a city hotel recently.

Eminent educationist Prof Mustafa Nurul Islam, politician Dr Kamal Hossain, economist Dr Atiur Rahman, drama activist Prof Momtaz Uddin Ahmed, Trustee of the Liberation War Museum Dr Sarwar Ali, editor of daily Jugantor Golam Sarwar, editor of daily Bhorer Kagoj Shyamal Dutta, editor of fortnightly Anandaalo Rezanur Rahman, band artiste Ayub Bachchu, singer Shuvro Dev, among others, were present at the launching ceremony. Chief Adviser of ATN Bangla Saiful Bari gave welcome speech.

Later the 90-minute documentary was screened at the programme.

After screening of the documentary, invited guests spoke on the occasion and shared their feelings on the Liberation War. Journalist Kamal Lohani said, "This documentary film is an important document for us from which real history of the Liberation War could be found."

Chairman of ATN Bangla Dr Mahfuzur Rahman gave concluding speech at the function.

Story of Rode Brishtir Shohore:

Bangladeshi females face violence most of the time. Some of them face physically some other psychologically. Central character of the drama is a female. But she has been refused in every step. As a result, she becomes frustrated. Once she had a dream and desire. Then she becomes a lonely person. This story represents a silent protest of a female in the society.

Farzana is wife of Shamim. Though he has wife, he is searching another partner. Labony, wife of Nasim, is full of proud as it makes troubles in the family. Younger son Wasim recently married Samia, daughter of a rich man. Grandmother-in-law of Samia does not like her. Farah, sister of Shamim, married Kabir, a promising singer.

Woody Allen jazzes it up at Warsaw concert hall

An audience of almost 3,000 clapped and cheered as Woody Allen and his jazz band gave their first ever concert in Poland on Sunday.

The filmmaker, playing the clarinet, was accompanied by his New Orleans Jazz Band for a performance of traditional jazz.

"We will do our best to entertain you," Allen told the audience at Warsaw's biggest concert hall, Sala Kongresowa, at the beginning of the two-hour concert.

Allen's solo parts, as well as those of other band members, were welcomed with applause. He received a standing ovation at the end.

The 73-year-old Academy Award winner rarely performs in large venues or outside New York City, where he lives.
