Police, in different anticrime drives, arrested 10 persons including a drug-peddler on various charges from different areas in city and four upazilas of the district in last 24 hours till on Friday evening, police said.

Of them, five were arrested from different areas in the metropolis while five others from four upazilas.

Police arrested the drug-peddler identified as Kaoser Ali, 26, son of Jalal Uddin of Ramchandrapur village under Chapainawabganj district, with 84 bottles of phensidyl during a raid in a Dhaka-bound coach at Rajshahi bus terminal area.

Apart from this, traffic police lodged 62 cases under the motor vehicles ordinance and seized a truck and seven motorbikes without registration during drives against the non-registered motor vehicles and other document related malpractices in different parts of the city during the time.
