Abdul Muyeed Choudhury was unanimously elected Chairman of Biman Board of Directors at a meeting here Saturday.

Earlier, Chairman of the board and CA's Special Assistant Mahbub Jamil relinquished his position as Chairman and member of the board at the meeting held at Balaka Bhaban.

A former government secretary, Choudhury earlier served as Chairman of the National Board of Revenue and Managing Director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. He was an adviser to the caretaker government in 2001.

Besides, Choudhury worked as the Executive Director of BRAC and Chairman of SME Foundation after leaving government service.
