Tk 23 lakh recovered in Chuadanga

Members of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) recovered Indian smuggled goods worth Taka twenty-three lakh from village Patachora under Damurhuda upazila of the district on Sunday night.

BDR sources said, acting on a secret information, a team of the BDR headed by Habildar Shafiqul Islam of Uthali Special BDR camp rushed to the spot and recovered the smuggled goods. The recovered Indian goods include spare parts of television, imitation ornaments, milk powder and cumin-seed. None was arrested in this connection.

A case was filed with Damurhuda Thana.
