Film News: Ke Ami to be released on Jan 2

Bengali feature film 'Ke Ami' to be released on the beginning of the New Year, January 2, 2009 across the country. Wakil Ahmed has directed the film under the banner of Sandwani Kothachitra. Md Golam Morshed has written the story of the film, while Chhatku Ahmed has scripted it.
The film is based on the story of Texas, USA. This type of story has been introduced for the first time in the country. Shooting was held in Cox's Bazar, Rangamati, Teknaf and Bandarban.
Riaz, Purnima, Ilias Kanchan, Aliraj, Tele Samad, Probir Mitra, Kabila, Amir Siraji, Ilias Kobra, Shanu Shiba and Danny Sidak have performed in the film.

The seventh episode of drama serial 'Apon ghore porobash' to be aired on Rtv at 10:00pm today. Aftab Bin Tamiz has scripted the drama, while Kaisar Ahmed has directed it. Shahiduzzaman Selim, Tania Ahmed, Shoeb, Joy, Deepa Khondaker, ATM Shamsuzzaman, Chitralekha Guha, Faruk Ahmed and others performed in the drama serial.
Story of Apon Ghore Porobash:
Bikar Khan is the head of a high-class family. He has his wife Ayna Begum and two daughters - Antora and Sanchari, two servants and brother-in-law. Whole family is a parliament. Monir and Imran, who completed their study recently, were searching jobs and house in the city. They moved elsewhere in the city. Then they decided to get marriage with a daughter of a rich man. In the meantime, Bikar Khan declared that a man is coming from USA. But he did not disclose his name to them. At the last stage of the drama daughter of his previous wife Nila came to his house. The 26-episode drama serial will end then.
TV Serial: Noksha on ATN Bangla from tonight

New drama serial 'Noksha' is going to start on ATN Bangla today. The fisrt episode of the drama serial will be aired at 9:20pm on Saturday. Mamunur Ras-hid has scripted and directed the drama serial. ATM Shamsuzzaman, Naznin Hasan Chumki, AkhM Hasan, Joyraj, Golam Farida Chhanda, Shoshi, Sujata, Lutfar Rahman George, Azad Abul Kalam, Anis, Tushar Khan, Shirin Alam, Abu Hashim Masud, Ahsanul Haque Minu, Masud Rana Mithu, Modhu, among others, have performed in the drama serial.
Story of Noksha:
Lalchan Sardar is an old resident of old Dhaka. He have married three times and father of 18 children. His sons and daughters are less educated. But his granddaughter Nuri has been studying in Dhaka University. Another grandson Chan has been working in an architectural firm after getting architectural degree. He has many complains about the modern architecture. Because his grandfather was involved when Ahsan Manjil was built. He feels proud of it. He could not get anything with this modern architecture. It creates water-logging in the city and makes urban life intolerable. This is the main concept of the drama serial.

The launching ceremony of the musical album of Kingbodonti, a joint album of band groups Dalchhut and Souls featuring songs of late Dalchhut's vocalist and journalist Sanjeeb Chowdhury, was held at the seminar room of the Central Public Library in the city Thursday evening. The labum has been released under the banner of popular audio production house Rage Records to celebrate the birth anniversary of late 'Sanjeebda' on December 25.
The album has been sacrificed to Kingbodonti, daughter of late Sanjeeb. Musicin Bappa Majumdar, one of the band partners of Sanjeeb, Mithu, one of the founder members of Dalchhut, Masum of band Souls, among others, spoke at the album launching ceremony. Shilpi, wife of Sanjeeb, Kingbodonti, daughter of the late, actor Shankar Shawjal, TV actress Chandni, family members and friends of Sanjeeb Chowdhury, among others, were present on the occasion.
Speakers at the function remembered Sanjeeb and his activities. There are seven songs in the album. Of those numbers, three songs are of Dalchhut and three of Souls and Sanjeeb gives vocal for the rest one. The music of the album has been composed from the compilation of seven poems of Sanjeeb Chowdhury.

Bollywood: Asin pairs up with Salman !
The beautiful actress Asin is waiting for the release of her two films 'Dasavatharam' and the Hindi version of 'Ghajini'. The actress is banking hopes on AR Murugadoss's Hinidi version of 'Ghajini' as she is expecting this as a springboard to an entry into Bollywood. The sources say that Asin will be acting with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan in Vipul Shah's film titled 'London Dreams'. Official announcement is yet to come.
The latest buzz is that Asin will be acting in her next Hindi film with Salman Khan. Salman and Ajay Devgan will be acting in a film titled 'London Dreams'. The film is to be produced by Vipul Shah. The producer says that he met Asin a couple of times and he considers her for his film. But he says that nothing has yet been finalized. Asin is yet to say yes for the project. US music legend Eartha Kitt dies

Eartha Kitt, the versatile American singer and actress who died at 81, mesmerised audiences worldwide for over six decades with her sultry voice and sensuality on stage and screen.
Kitt, whose outspokenness was a mainstay of her career but also led to a self-imposed exile to Europe in the 1960s and 70s after her stinging critique of the war in Vietnam, won two Emmy television awards and was nominated for two Tony awards and a pair of Grammys. She was being treated for colon cancer at a New York hospital, her friend and publicist Andrew Freedman told AFP. A self-described 'sex kitten,' Kitt famously played the role of Catwoman in the US hit TV series 'Batman' in the 1960s. Her feline purr and uncanny persona won her millions of fans, among them Hollywood's Orson Welles, who called her "the most exciting woman in the world."
Rabeya Khatun’s birthday today

The 74th birth anniversary of country's one of the most prolific writers and littérateur Rabeya Khatun is today (December 27). She was born in 1935. During the 50's of the 20th century she started her authorial life with a short story 'Proshno.' Later on in the year 1963, her debut novel 'Modhumoti' was published which brought her satisfactory acquaintance to the Bengali readership. In the same decade a good number of her novels came out that established her not only as a representative of the women writing community but as a major fiction writer of the country.
Rabeya Khatun is one of the few writers of Bangladesh who have been honoured with the highest national award Ekushe Padak. She is restless, no sort of laziness can hover over her. Due to her relentless work the number of her books is about to meet a century.
