Speakers in a function urged the authorities concerned to ensure women participation in all levels of election and a woman friendly environment during the polls to be held on December 29 and January 22.

They made this observation in a views exchange meeting organised by Save the Genesis (STG), a local non-government organization, in cooperation with steps towards development at the auditorium of Sadallapur upazila parishad of the district recently.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdul Wahed attended the function and addressed at as the chief guest.

Presided over by upazila women affairs officer Shahnaz Akter, The meeting was also addressed, among others, by political leader Sazzad Hossain Poltan and journalists Fazlul Kati Masum and Tajul Islam Reza while executive director of STG M Mostafizur Rahman was the moderator.
