Electioneering reaches peak at Baraigram Our Correspondent, Baragram The electioneering at Baraigram upazila of Natore has reached the peak as all the candidates have geared up their campaign work to give finishing touch as the voting day is only six days away. The candidates are holding public meetings and processions and their workers are moving into the entire upazila areas fitting loudspeakers on Rickshaws and seeking votes for their respective candidates. Grand Alliance candidate Prof. Abdul Quddus held a public meeting on December 22 at the Dhanidah Primary School ground with Abdul Quader, an AL leader. The meeting was addressed, among others, by central leaders of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal(Inu) Advocate Ruhul Quddus Babu, JP leader Abdur Rahman Babul. The leaders alleged that the top leaders of the four-party alliance plundered state wealth and smuggled those to abroad. They called upon the people to save the country from the hands of looters, Islamic militants and vote the grand alliance candidate. The candidates of the upazila are going door to door to win the hearts of voters making promises to meet their demands, if elected.
