Event: Arjo Shrestho wins award in Chicago Int’l Film Festival Entertainment Desk Bangladeshi child filmmaker Arjo Shrestho got second best director award in the child film director category for his documentary 'Life Like Smoke' in the Chicago International Children Film Festival 2008. His documentary focuses on the lifestyle of children at brickfields. With this award Arjo has already received nine international awards. When Arjo was eight-year old, he got best child director award in Finland. The festival was held in seven venues in Chicago in the USA. Some 250 best films of 44 countries were screened in the festival. A total of 26,600 viewers attended the festival. Mayor of Chicago Richard M Dully chaired the film festival, while Jessica Weller was coordinator. The award giving ceremony was held last month. But Arjo did not attend the ceremony as he was admitted in the final year examination in his school. Festival was held from October 25 to November 2. Chicago International Children Film Festival is called 'Oscar' for the children film directors. Arjo has been reading in Class VI in Sunnydale School.
