The Thirteenth Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Anlima Yam Dyeing Ltd. was held on 22nd December at the factory premises at Karnapara, Savar. A large number of shareholders attended the meeting. The Chairman and Managing Director of the Company Mr. Mahmudul Hoque briefed the shareholders about the performance of the Company for the year 2007-08.

The Company has entered into Eleventh Year of its commercial operation. The Managing Director informed the shareholders that in view of cut-throat competition from local dye houses and higher operating cost the company could not earn satisfactory profit. The company has doubled the production capacity for overhead cost reduction and the enhanced capacity would be in operation from January, 2009. The Company declared 5% dividend (excluding sponsor Directors), which was approved in the AGM. The shareholders appreciated the efforts of the management and thanked them for rendering their valuable services. The meeting also adopted the Accounts and Directors Report and approved auditors appointment.
