Our correspondent, Rajshahi

An enquiry was conducted by Assistant Returning Officer of Rajshahi on allegation of violating election code of conduct by grand alliance candidate Engineer Enamul Huq of Rajshahi-4 (Bagmara) constituency in presence of additional district magistrate, the complainant, the candidate and the local people.

According to the complainant, Huq recently visited his village Sankoa and opened a medical centre and promised that if elected he will establish a private medical college in the village.

Moreover, the complainant said huq donated money to different organisations ahead of the parliamentary election.

Some people, including Zahurul Islam, Abdul Khaleque Tota and others lodged the complaint with the Election Commission (EC) and the Chief Election Commission (CEC) asked the Deputy Commissioner to investigate the matter. The complainant told newsmen that they raised the allegations before the enquiry committee while the candidate Huq refuted the allegation.
