Eid-ul-Azha celebrated with much enthusiasm, religious fervour in dists

The holy Eid-ul-Azha, one of the greatest religious festival of the Muslims, was celebrated here on Tuesday with religious fevour, gaiety and solemnity. The main Eid congregation was held at central Eidgah, adjacent to local stadium of the town, under the auspices of the district administration.

Deputy Commissioner Abu Muhammad Yousuf, officials, leaders of political parties, elite of the town, professionals and journalists joined the congregation.

The other Eid congregations were also held at Gaibandha police lines, Gausul Azam Eidgah, Al-Falah same Mosque, PWD Jame Mosque, Fakirpara Jame Mosque, Khanka Sharif Jame Mosque, DC-court Jame Mosque, Circuit House Madrasha Mosque, Dhanghara Eidgah, Palash Para Jame Mosque, Moderw Eidgah, David Company para Jame Mosque, V-AID Road Jame Mosque, Gorosthan Jame Mosque and station Jame Mosque of the town. Thousands of Muslims offered special munajats seeking divine blessing and eternal peace of the departed souls for peace, progress and prosperity of the country.

National flag was hoisted a top all government and private buildings and the main roads were decorated with festoons and flags, Gaibandha Pourasabha also made the different gates inscribed with 'Eid Mubarak' and 'Allahu Akbar' at the entrance point of the town.

Special and improved diets were served among the inmates of different hospitals, joints, Shishu paribars, prisoners and orphans on the holy occasion.

The police administration took adequate steps and the members of police, RAB, Ansar-VDP volunteers were deployed indifferent places of the town, police super SM Moniruzzaman said.

BSS, Joypurhat adds: The greatest religious festival of the Muslims, Eid-ul-Azha, was celebrated in the district with huge enthusiasms, religious fervour, gaiety and solemnity and in a befitting manner on Tuesday.

The biggest Eid congregation was held at Joypurhat collectorate and centrat Eidgah Maidan where senior officials, leaders of political parties, elite of the district, professionals and journalists performed heir Eid prayers.

The police administrations took adequate steps and members of RAB, volunteers and other law enforcers were deployed every where for Aram-quility and peaceful celebrations of the festivity. The other huge Eid congregations in Joypurhat were held at Joypurhat Sugar Mills Jame Mosque, police line ground, Kashiabari Eidgha Maidan, Bulupara Eidgah Maidan, Joypurhat Government College ground, and Bigger Eid Jamaats were also held in all five upazilas held quarters of the district.

National flag were hoisted atop all government and private buildings and decorated with colourful lighting and flags, banners bearing Islamic inscriptions.
