Event: Finale of Citycell-Channel i Music Awards tonight

The grand final of '4th Citycell-Channel i Music Awards' to be held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC) in the city tonight. The event will start at 6:30pm.

This was disclosed at a press conference at the BCFCC lobby yesterday.

Dr Anand Rajasingham, Head of Marketing of Citycell, presided over the conference.

Faridur Reza Sagar, Managing Director of Impress Telefilms Ltd and Channel I, Taslim Ahmed, Deputy General Manager of the External Affairs of Citycell, Syed Tanzin Huq, Deputy General Manager of Marketing Communications and Branding of Citycell, Mohammad Monir Hossein Sikder, Manager of Brand and Communications Strategy of Citycell, among others, were present on the occasion.

This year the awards will be given into 16 categories including lifetime achievement award.

The categories are - Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Sangeet, folk song, modern song, classical music, film song, band music, underground band music, best lyricist, debut singer (male and female), sound engineering, cover design, music director and music video, said Faridur Reza Sagar.

Besides, 'Popular Awa-rds' will be given for modern song, film song, band music and debut male and female singers this year.

TV Watch: 100-episode of Gulshan Avenue tonight

The 100-episode of daily soap 'Gulshan Avenue' to be aired on Banglavision at 9:45pm today. Nima Rahman has scripted the drama, while Syed Awlad has directed the serial. Sujata, Masud Ali Khan, Tarique Anam Khan, Diti, Mou, Apurbo, KS Firoze, Lina Ahmed, Rosy Siddiqui, Shakiba, Tanjika, Tutul, Shahriar Shuvo, Yusuf Russell, among others, performed in the serial.

Story of Gulshan Avenue:

Ali Reza Chowdhury has three sons - Shahadat, Sharafat and Shafqat. Only Shafqat lives with his parents. Yasmin is wife of Shafqat. They have three sons - Shamim, Nasim and Wasim. Farzana is wife of Shamim. Though he has wife, he is searching another partner. Labony, wife of Nasim, is full of proud as it makes troubles in the family. Younger son Wasim recently married Samia, daughter of a rich man. Grandmother-in-law of Samia does not like her. Farah, sister of Shamim, married Kabir, a promising singer. But her parent creates pressure on Samia to give divorce to Kabir. Once a woman named Rehana came to Shafqat from London and demands Tk five crore. But why she wants to take revenge? Exhibition: Photography exhibition on natural disasters

A four-day photography competition and exhibition was inaugurated at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city on November 30.

Hope'87 and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in association with Bangladesh Photojournalists' Association organised the show.

Former adviser of the Caretaker government ASM Shahjahan inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest, while President of the National Press Club Shawkat Mahmud was present as special guest on the occasion.

David Hill, Head of ECHO, Bhuiyan Shafiqul Islam, among others, were present at the inauguration.

Of 273 photographs, 116 were selected to contest in the competition. Then a 10-member jury board judged 10 best photographs for the exhibition.

The first winner received Tk 20,000, second winner received Tk 10,000, third received Tk 5,000 and the rest seven got Tk 3,000 each including crests and certificates. The first winner is AK Asad.

The exhibition ended yesterday.

Eid Drama: Tetamen on ATN Bangla

Special Eid drama 'Tetamen' to be aired on ATN Bangla at 8:50pm on the third day of Eid programmes. Brindaban Das has written the story of the drama, while Mahfuz Ahmed has scripted it and gave direction. Suborna Mustafa, ATM Shamsuzzaman, Rifat, Shokh, Mosharraf Hossain, Shamim, Sanjeeb, Iqbal, among others, performed in the drama.

Story of Tetamen:

After retirement from the Police Department Daroga Chunu Mia did not change his image of police. Poet of the same village Soleman Zehadi had conflict with Chunu Mia. In the field of bridal market, 'daroga' bridegroom is better than poet. As a result, Soleman Zehadi had to lose his beloved widow Hasna Hena. For this reason, he remained bachelor rest of his life. Short film 'Onek Kartik Ekti Agrahayan' to be aired on Channel i on fifth day of the Eid programmes. It will be aired at 12:35pm. Anisul Haque has scripted the film and Shahnewaz Kakoli has directed it. The film is on digital format. Sharmin Zoha Shoshi, Ashish Khondaker, Aksar Ali, Firoz Chowdhury, Hosne Ara, Moshiur Rahman, among others, performed in the film. There are two songs composed by Emon Saha in the film. Moshiur Rahman was in camera direction. Kanak Aditya has rendered one song and local baul artistes rendered other one.

Eid Adda: Tyager Ei Anondey on Digonta TV
