Film News: Chandragrohon premiered

The premiere show of full-length feature film 'Chandragrohon' directed by Murad Parvez was held at the Balaka Cineworld in the city on Saturday.

Managing Director of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) ANM Badrul Amin inaugurated the show as chief guest.

Syed Mustafa Siraj has written story of the film, while Murad Parvez has scripted it. Mahfuzur Rahman Khan was in camera and Touhid Hossain Chowdhury was in editing. Emon Saha was in background music and Kabir Bakul, Nancy, Samina Chowdhury, Bari Siddiqui, Sumi, Emon Saha gave vocals for the songs of the film.

Riaz, Sohana Saba, Champa, Dilara Zaman, KS Firoz, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Gazi Rakayet, Uttam Guha, Kohinur, Zahir Uddin Pear, Manos Bondopaddhya, Jamilur Rahman Sakha, Kazi Riton and Azam Faruk have performed in the film.

Special Eid drama 'Ditiyo Basor' to be aired on ATN Bangla at 8:50pm on the fourth day of the Eid Programmes. Abul Hayat has scripted and directed the drama. Aupi Karim, Shahed, Abul Hayat, Abul Kashem, Shirin Alam, among others, have performed in the drama.

Story of Ditiyo Basor:

Faruk and Mithila were separated from their parents as because of not to telling of their marriage incident. Today is their first marriage anniversary. When they were taking preparation to celebrate the day Faruk schoolteacher father came to their house. In absence of Faruk Mithila had to face queries from Faruk's father. When Mithila went to buy some foods her parents also came to her house. Both of them were involved in queries. Then Faruk and Mithila left their house to get relief from any occurrence.

Event: Swapnadal staged Jadur Prodip

Theatre troupe Swapnadal staged mime-drama 'Jadur Prodip' (Magic Lamp) at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shil-pakala Academy in the city Saturday night.

Zahid Ripon has directed and reformatted the play based on 'Aladin's Magic Lamp' of the Arabian Nights. Raunak Laboni and Mohammad Salauddin designed dresses, Fazle Rabbi Sukorna and SM Tareque were in lighting, Asif Istiar, Ali Hasan, Raunak Laboni, Sajida Islam Parul and Mohammad Raquibuzzaman were in background music direction and Asif Istiar and Enamul Haque Shahin staged the set of the play.

Hasan Rezaul, Monir Hossain, Al-Amin, Enamul Haque Shahin, Sonali Rahman Juli, Samad Bhuiyan, Shishir Sikdar, Masudur Rahman, Abu Naser Emon, Rakib Hossain, Yusuf Bhuiyan, Mohammad Shahin Shaon, Raunak Laboni, Jebun Nesa Alo and Zahid Ripon have performed in the play. Sagor Acharya, Farzana Rahman Mita, Shahidul Islam Sumon and Sajida Islam Parul were in dance troupe.

Story of Jadur Prodip:

Story of the play is based on the "Aladin's Magic Lamp' of the 'Arabian Nights.' Typical Aladin's magical symbolic incidents were focused in the play with various events. At last of the play a true was presented to the audience.

Special Eid magazine 'Adda' to be aired on Bangladesh Television (BTV) at 7:00pm on the second day of the Eid programmes. This programme was recorded with the live participation of the audience. Popular programme presented Khondaker Ismail has moderated the show. Rafique Hamza has scripted the programme, while Abdul Latif Reza has directed the show.

Popular artistes Habib and Ferdous Wahid, folk artiste Momtaz, advertisement maker Amitav Reza, music composer Alam Khan, comedy actor Zillur and Manjur Hossain have performed in the show.
