UNL’s talk show on women issues Staff Reporter United Network Limited (UNL) had made a series of talk shows focused on various issues on women in good governance and politics. This show is being aired on ATN Bangla every Monday from November 17. The first six episodes of the programme is based on women in politics, evaluation of women in their respective political parties and procedures for electing women will be aired before the forthcoming national polls, which will be held on December 29. Rest seven episodes will be aired after the election, which will contain the topic about securities of female voters, media coverage of the women, campaign of the female participants. This was disclosed at a press conference organised by the UNL at the National Press Club on Thursday. Shamim Reza of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Dhaka University and also moderator of the show said that they used some documentaries collecting the relevant footages and public opinions from the root-levels in the programme. Sabina Bari Lucky, Director and Fuad Chowdhury, producers of the series also spoke on the occasion. Salma Khan, former member of the CEDAW and Masuda Rehana, Vice President of Jatiya Mohila Parishad, also took part in the discussion. They gave answered about the hopes of the women's empowerment in policymaking.
