HIV/AIDS preventive programme and youth booklet distribution programme through religious Institutions and religious leaders was held at Trishal field office, Islamic Foundation on 19th November. Upazila Health and family planning Officer Dr Sayed Md. Habibullah was present as chief guest. Poet Farid Ahmed Dulal, Field Superviser Shahjahan Siraj, RRC representative Tuhin were present as special guests while it was presided over by DD (Incharge) Islamic Foundation Md Abdul Wadud. It was organised by Islamic Foundation, Mymensingh and RRC Tangail assisted by National STD/AIDS programme (NASP), DGHS and Save the Children.

The speakers said only Imam could prevent AIDS by delivering their speeches through khotba and other religious activities. Islam is the code of complete life. Religious faith and abstains from drug, smoking, free sex only can prevent AIDS, 70 imam were present on the occasion.
