Social revolution to prevent corruption underscored

Our Correspondent, Narail

Our expectation to the political leaders is that they should not be involved in corruption and they should not allow anyone to get involved in it.

No sector of the country is free from corruption. So a social revolution is a must to prevent it. If the political leaders don't want to prevent it, it is impossible to eradicate corruption from the society. It is high time to compel the future leaders to clear their position in the upcoming fight against corruption. Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury, Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission, said all these while he was addressing a view exchanging meeting with govt. officials and the representatives of civil society at Lohagara Upazila auditorium in Narail district on Wednesday morning.

Here in this meeting, Awami League nominated MP candidate Brigadier Abu Baker (retd) committed as saying that he would never get involved in corruption and back the evildoers if he was voted to power.

The meeting was addressed, among others, by ex vice-principal Gazi Azizur Rahman, poura mayor Newaz Ahmed Thakur, Sheikh Hafizur Rahman, OC of Lohagara thana Abdul Hye Sarker, it was presided over by TNO Mohammad Rezaul Karim.
