5 (Five) candidates of the 9th Jatiya Sangsad elections were submitted their nomination papers to the returning officer (Deputy Commissioner) Gopalganj at his official till writing this report on Monday.

The candidates were Awami League Chief and former Prime Minister Shaikh Hasina Gopalganj-3, of Awami League, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim Gopalgnaj-3 of Awami League, Kazi Shahin of Gopalganj-1 of Jatiya Party (Ershad), Advocate Nahaj Pasha Gopalganj-2, Jatiya Party (Ershad) and Gour Chandra Biswas Gopalganj-3 of Jatiya Party (Ershad).

Awami League Presidium Member and former health minister Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim submitted his nomination paper and Awami League Chief Sheikh Hasina's Nomination paper was submitted to SM Ashfaque Hussain, returning officer (DC) Gopalganj at its office on Nov. 23.
