Hollywood: 'Dancing’ fans edge closer to season finale

AP, Los Angeles

Brooke Burke could be the one who wins 'Dancing With the Stars.' The 37-year-old model-actress and her professional partner, Derek Hough, dominated the popular ABC dancing competition's final round Monday night, receiving a combined score of 58 out of 60 from the judges.

Burke wowed the audience with a lively and twirly freestyle routine set to "You're the One That I Want" from 'Grease.' "That, I think, was the best freestyle I've ever seen," head judge Len Goodman told Burke.

The judges bestowed Burke with a perfect score of 30 for the routine. The former host of 'Wild On' from the E! Network and CBS' 'Rock Star' has dominated the dance contest's seventh season. Burke has come in first place seven out of nine times during the competition and received a 10 - the judges' top score - 13 times, maintaining an average score of 28 from the judges. "You are the one that we all want," judge Bruno Tonioli said to Burke.

Previously dismissed celebrities include actor Cody Linley; former sprinter Maurice Greene; actresses Susan Lucci and Cloris Leachman; singer Toni Braxton; chef Rocco DiSpirito; reality TV star Kim Kardashian; actor Ted McGinley; and comedian Jeffrey Ross. Volleyball player Misty May-Treanor dropped out of the competition after rupturing her tendon.

Bollywood: Taare Zameen Par: A plagiarised version?

There have been pretty serious accusations against one of the best films of year and India's entry to the Oscars -'Taare Zameen Par'. Sad and surprising but true.

The 69-year-old veteran writer Shakuntala Devi who has authored 22 books says that a lot of the content in 'Taare Zameen Par' has been copied from one her books titled 'In the Wonderland Of Numbers'. Reportedly the book's main character is a nine-year-old girl suffering from dyslexia. According to her it's not just the idea of a kid suffering from the dyslexia taken from her book, but the content of some complete chapters and incidents of her book have also been reproduced in the movie without her permission. She add that once Kamal Hassan had complemented her and said that if an intelligent producer is bought on board and a movie is made based on the book, then it can create a huge impact in the whole world.

Now this is a shocking allegation no less. The writer says that she expects Aamir Khan to write a letter to her explaining why he made use of the material from her book for his movie. Perfectionist Khan, the producer-director-actor of 'Taare Zameen Par' has not yet responded to the allegations. So much for perfectionism!
