A broker house of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in city's Motijheel area caught fire Tuesday morning.

According to a DSE press release, the fire originated in Mona Financial Consultant Securities Ltd, located at the main building of the country's prime bourse, from electric short circuit at about 8am.

The release also said that only the member house has been affected partially as fire fighters rushed in just after the eruption of the fire and brought it under control.

There is no harm or damage from the incident at any other broker house or at DSE office.
