Three people, including an adolescent girl, allegedly committed suicide on Thursday in separate incidents in the district.

Police said, Billal Mia, 22, hailing from Ghilatali village of Madhabpur upazila committed suicide by taking poison following a family feud.

In another incident, Abbas Ali, 19, of Bhularjum village in Chunarughat upazila killed himself by taking poison as his mother refused to give him Tk 500.

In yet another incident, Niyati Saotal, 14, daughter of Fagu Saotal of Rashidpur Tea Garden in Bahubal upazila committed suicide by taking pesticides. But the reason behind the suicide could not be known immediately. Separate UD cases were filed with the police.
