AL for poverty-free Bangladesh

Staff Reporter

Major General (Retd) Md Shubid Ali Bhuiyan, member of Awami League Advisory council, said the AL led 14 party alliance was determined to present a poverty and corruption free new Bangladesh after resuming power by winning the upcoming parliamentary polls.

He made this comments while addressing the leaders and activists at a meeting to mark 'Goalmari Muktijoddha Dibosh' at Daudkandi Upazila in Comilla organised by the local freedom fighters.

"The ill-motivated quarters, which welcomed the Chief Adviser's announcement of holding the national polls in December 18, are trying to handover the power to a third party," Bhuiyan said.

Daudkandi upazila commander Shafiqul Islam Ratan presided over the meeting while a number of local freedom fighters and AL activists were present in the meeting.
